YMCA EXETER: OUR VISION FOR HOUSING
We passionately believe that every person is hugely valuable and ensure that our services are welcoming to people of all faiths or none, offering young people the spaces they need to feel secure, respected, heard and valued and speaking out on issues that affect their lives.
As a long standing, expert provider of supported accommodation for young people, we know that independent accommodation that has a thriving community does not appear naturally, it has to be intentionally created.
Finding affordable accommodation in Exeter is not an easy task. That task is even more difficult for young people, for those on a low income and for those moving on from supported housing projects.
We’ve designed a few activities to get Christians of all ages engaging with the issues of affordable housing and social justice. The activities can be used as individual parts of a service or group or can be used all together. Read through each resource and decide which would work best in your church setting.
